am kinda clueless

So, I'm getting into the whole hair straightening/curling deal, and obviously I don't want to fry my hair. However, most of the products/heat protectants I've saw are either specifically for holding curls or straightening. I couldn't really find any simple heat protectant spray, so I was just wondering whether it would really matter if I used, say, a spray for curls when I'm straightening my hair. :/

Let me know and if anyone has any good drugstore brands to recommend (we don't have CHI here) do tell me! Thanks all. (:

Very mild YI that WILL NOT GO AWAY! Grrr...

I know this may seem similar to another recent post, but I thought I would ask anyway as my circumstances are slightly different...

My ex was the first guy I ever had sex with, and we would normally do it multiple times a day, maybe 3-4 days a week. After a couple of months I got a horrible, horrible YI, huge amounts of discharge, itchiness, aching, raw, dry skin, small tears (which STUNG) etc. I treated it with an OTC treatment (Canesten Duo), but it still didn't go away until my period. Then a week into my new pill pack, it happened again. This went on for about 5-6 months, always a week into my new pill pack, I would start getting YI symptoms which refused to go away until my period. Luckily after the 5-6 months this seemed to stop, but then my boyfriend and I were having sex a little less often, about 3-4 times a week.

Anyway, a few months ago we split up and I started seeing another guy, and having lots of sex. And the YIs seem to have come back, however they are much milder. I'm not even sure this is what it is that's happening, but I cant think of another explanation. I feel like I'm producing much more discharge than necessary, and its of a creamy, white texture, occasionally lumpy, and sometimes yellowish. However I have very little itching, if at all, and no other symptoms.

The reason I am sure it isn't just normal discharge is because I tasted it, and it tastes VILE. Sometimes I think I have had constant odd symptoms for so long, that I wouldn't know regular vaginal discharge if it slapped me in the face, but I remember what I used to taste like before I started seeing anyone and it was definitely much milder than this! Even though the symptoms aren't bothering me that much, I really want to get rid of this because I am aware of how disgusting it tastes, extremely bitter is the best way I can describe it, and therefore I am paranoid about letting new boyfriend give me oral, despite the fact I enjoy it.

Hopefully someone can give some advice and help me out.... :)

Onigiri?

I'm planning on hosting a new year's party this year, and its been requested that I serve asian food. I'm planning on including onigiri (rice balls) on the menu. Onigiri usually have plum or smoked salmon in them, but has anyone ever put anything else in them? I'd like to try something thats a little more creative, but still tastes good.

Also, any suggestions of other snack foods I can serve? I'd like to make red bean soup, dango rice dumplings, and mochi. Does anyone know any good recipies?

And are there any good drink recipes? (preferably nonalcoholic, since me and most of my friends are still underaged) I remember having this really good iced tea at a thai resturaunt before. I think it was chai tea (or some other kind of spiced tea) with either milk or cream, I can't remember. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'd like to know the name so I can confirm the recipe.

Thank you in advance! <3

Hello,
I recently bought a bag of cranberries and I'm planning on drying them. I tried looking up how to do it, but most websites basically say "put them in boiling water and then the oven." I was wondering how do they become sweet then? Can someone provide me with step by step directions on how to dry them and make them sweet?
Thanks!

Pear Tart

Part of my contribution to this years Thanksgiving Dinner was dessert. While my chocolate mousee disappeared, my pear tart never quite got out of the kitchen. That just means more for me as far as I'm concerned. It made a lovely Saturday morning breakfast.

JANET: Music, Michael, Obama, Nico & Natalli (SYTYCD:Canada)

Hattie Collins

There are many places you might expect to find an A-list star in Hollywood, but a scruffy dance studio at the wrong end of the Walk of Fame isn’t the first that springs to mind. The homeless and the addicted hustle the star-spotting tourists who wander wide-eyed into souvenir shops selling Michael Jackson memorabilia, utterly unaware that, two floors above them, his youngest sister is rehearsing the choreography for her new single, Make Me.

“I love the natural light,” says Janet Jackson, nodding towards the huge windows that look out onto the gritty streets below. She's devoid of make-up and dressed in black tracksuit bottoms and a grey cashmere top, a low-key look that matches the location. There is no big entourage in tow, either, just her personal assistant and a publicist. It’s surprising to find such a huge celebrity in such understated circumstances, particularly given the intense scrutiny the Jackson family is under following the loss of its most famous member in June this year.

“People don’t really know, they don’t look in,” she says, staring back to the boulevard once more. “Nobody notices.” Brief respite, perhaps — since she appeared on stage with the Jackson 5 at the age of seven, all people have done is peer portentously at Janet Damita Jo Jackson’s professional and private life. “Certain aspects [of fame] aren’t easy, but I’ve been fortunate,” the 43-year-old says of life in front of the lens. “There are always paparazzi, but there are restaurants or places that they don’t know you frequent. And the people there are loyal, so they stay quiet.”

Constant YI or BV symptoms...?

I've posted on here before but didn't really get much help other then to visit the doctor. Honestly, I'm terrified of the doctors and I do not want some stranger looking down there. I also don't know how to tell my mother about it so she will actually take me. I've bought a Monistat 3-day treatment and a Vagisal screening kit. Last year I can remember having YI symptoms twice but they were never treated. This year I can't even count how many YI or BV symptoms I've had. It seems like it's been constant since August. No, I have not treated it. Could my untreated symptoms be the problem for constant symptoms??? To rule out BV I also took the screening kit and it said it was normal or could be a yeast infection. Right now I have mild itching with lots of normal discharge but sometimes it can have some white clumps in it or can smell fishy, which I always thought was a normal smell...? It pretty much all depends on the day. The only relieve I have from these symptoms is when I'm on my period but then my pad irritates me and then that turns right back into my symptoms. I have had sexplay (figers) with my boyfriend but not actual sex. To my knowlege I'm a pretty healthy person with a poor diet and I have not been on any medications. I need help on what to do or some advice on what other people have gone through. I'm only 17 here...

Ps. I've also been having mild lower stomach pains lately if that would help any.

Okay, originally I had two books to list here, but I looked through the tags to find out a gazillion people had also tried to find my first one, heh. (The Fairy Rebel, if you're curious, and I've already ordered a used copy off of Amazon. ;) Thanks to everyone who's both tried to find it and helped others find it! ). Here's my other one, which I really only remember vaguely.

It wasn't a YA book, I don't *think*. But it was focused on a group of students at a college (I'm pretty sure... might have been high school, though) who were in this special study group where they learned magic? Or met fairies? Or both? The main character ends up with invisible cat whiskers at one point. And each person that joins the group can bring in one other person. (The main character brought in his girlfriend). One of the people in the group goes evil, I remember that. The person who'd originally brought him/her in felt really guilty about that at the very end of the book. And the title was *I think* Something 101. But I tried searching for everything I could think of like that on Google - I ended up with a million false hits!

It was out in the early 90's, but may have been published any time before then. My library's copy was really beat up, and I left that area in '94.

Anyway, any help is appreciated in advance! :)

Fact: Kingston hates the paparazzi.

Always making sure to fit in quality family time, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale took their son Kingston to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday (November 28).

The No Doubt frontwoman and her Bush rocker hubby both looked casually stylish as they escorted their eldest son in to see “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, recent reports tell that Gwen is cracking the whip on the owners of a Minnesota bar who have been playing her music without the proper license.

Stefani (as well as the rock band Bon Jovi) has filed a lawsuit against Sally’s Saloon and Eatery in Minneapolis, asking them to stop playing her music without the legal right to do so.
