Question...

I have invited people to my birthday party set for next weekend.

However in the past I have always had people RVSP with a 'yes I will be attending' and they always flake out on me.  So in short I've always had people-less parties that, well, suck.

In (loosely) planning I am already feeling really anxious.  I have pretty much settle don the fact that Idon't want to have a party.  I have always had such bad experinces with planning such events as this.  It is embaressing to put forth all of the effort to not have anyone come.  I hate waiting for the doorbell, or a knock that never happens.  Or at least a phone call sending condolensces of not being to attend at the last minute.

Should I still have this birthday party, next weekend, or just cancel so I don't have to endure the torment of anxiety it always gives me?
