Epona

(no subject)

Good morning, everyone.

It is day 8 of my crazy 'All I ever do is work' schedule.

This is also the start of the last week of if, for the 20 (Sunday) is my last day at the Orchards.

On the 20th, after dinner with my visiting Uncle Tom and Aunt Jill I am heading up north tothe place called Portland with the one called Kevin.

I went to the Oregon Vortex/House of Mystory with Kevin, Val, and Kc.  I felt ill in the house.  Its was really interesting, among other things.

I went and saw Death Cab for Cutie on Thursday with Jake.  Their fan base has shifted from I-Kids to 13 year old girls in trendy clothes and necklaces that could double as some hard core anal beads.

It was rather disheartening, because as Jake simply put it, "They don't care about music.  DCFC is just anothe rfalvour of the week to them.  We actually care about the band and music in general.  We have more of a reason to be here."

I slept a little of the way up to the show, got us to the Glenwood and Venita.  I drank peach dessert wine, alone, in the fenced off alcohol area, with 20 other people.  I enjoyed the show imensely and took pictures.

They played a good balence of new and old.  'Company Calls' was lacking an epilogue and once again they didn't play my all time favorite song, 'We Laugh Indoors'.  How ever they played my two other favorite songs, 'Title Track' from 'Facts' ad 'We Looked Like Giants' from 'Transatlanticism'.  They opened with '405'.  And they played 'Why You'd Want to Live Here', 'Soul Meets Body', 'Transatlaniticsim'...I'll find the set list eventually.  But over all I was satisfied.

I had an awesome veiw.  I just had to pivot a little depending on where Ben was.  LIttle to no problem with people's heads in my way.  We were baout 9 feet from the stage.

I met a way awesome girl in the audience.  We're going to exchange pictures form the show.
